With springtime officially here, Historic Hancock’s Resolution in Pasadena will celebrate its opening day tomorrow, Sunday, March 23 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. The event will also pay tribute to Maryland Day, which falls on Tuesday, March 25 this year.

The theme of the Opening Day is “The American Revolution’s Impact on Hancock’s Resolution“. The community is invited to participate in docent-led tours and learn about the historic events that took place nearby. There will also be children’s activities focused on the Revolutionary War, as well as live music in the Visitor’s Center from The Overtones.
This past fall, Hancock’s Resolution received a new sign, courtesy of Baltimore-based sign company Gable. “In a project that holds personal significance for our team, we’re proud to donate a new entrance sign to Historic Hancock’s Resolution. This initiative is especially meaningful as our own Senior Vice President, Ross Hancock, shares a family connection to this historic property. The new sign will welcome visitors to this important historical landmark for years to come,” Gable stated in a press release about the project.

Additional updates to the Hancock’s Resolution property include new seating for outdoor lectures and gatherings, a new bee hive fence, a gazebo by the visitor’s center, and new benches.
Admission to Hancock’s Resolution is free. For a complete calendar of 2025 events at Historic Hancock’s Resolution, visit their website.
