Why we started Real Pasadena

Real Pasadena was founded with a deep passion for our community and a strong desire to provide a reliable and authentic source of information and connection. As residents of Pasadena ourselves, we understand the importance of staying informed and engaged with our local surroundings. We recognized the need for a platform that brings together the voices and perspectives of our community, and thus, Real Pasadena was born.

Hayley Bowerman Real Pasadena MD

Hayley Bowerman

Hayley Bowerman is a lifelong Pasadena resident. She has been involved in numerous community projects, from helping to establish the Pasadena Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, to heading up the Harvest For The Hungry Caring & Sharing Parade, to co-founding the Wine Festival at Kurtz’s Beach, to promoting Pasadena’s shop local campaigns. Her work has appeared in dozens of media outlets, including The Baltimore Business Journal, The Baltimore Sun, The Daily Record, Capital-Gazette, Looking Good Magazine, Annapolis Home Magazine, Severna Park Voice, Pasadena Voice, What’s Up Magazine, and Chesapeake Family Magazine. She and her husband, James, along with their three children, Brecken, Jackson and Haven, live in Hunters Harbor.

James Bowerman

James Bowerman is also a lifelong Pasadena resident and Chesapeake High School graduate. He began his career in graphic design after attending AACC and eventually became the Creative Director for a Digital Marketing agency focused on helping small local businesses. In 2015 James pursued an interest in real estate investing, which led to obtaining his real estate licenses and starting his own business in 2018. Since then, he has continued to leverage his passions of design, marketing and technology to produce stunning aerial video tours, and starting the Best of Pasadena community on Facebook. When he’s not at home with his family or out selling houses, you’ll probably find him flying one of his drones or hacking it up at one of our local golf courses.
