The Human Bean on Fort Smallwood Road will host a Pet Adoption Event this Saturday, May 16 from 10:00am – 2:00pm, in partnership with Rise Above Animal Rescue, giving the community a chance to meet adoptable pets while supporting a local rescue organization working to expand its mission in Pasadena.
The event will take place at The Human Bean and prospective adopters are encouraged to bring a photo ID and a credit or debit card. Those interested in adopting may also complete a pre-application through the Rise Above Animal Rescue website prior to the event.
Rise Above Animal Rescue is a local nonprofit rescue dedicated to saving homeless and at-risk animals, connecting them with foster homes, medical care, and permanent adoptive families. The organization regularly works throughout the region to rescue animals from overcrowded shelters and difficult situations while advocating for responsible pet ownership.
The adoption event comes as Rise Above Animal Rescue prepares to move into a new facility at 2517 Mountain Road in Pasadena. According to a recent social media post from the organization, volunteers and contractors have been working behind the scenes on renovations to prepare the space for future operations and adoptions.
“We seriously cannot wait to show you everything once we’re ready,” the organization wrote in its update. “It’s going to be worth the wait.”
Saturday’s event offers local residents an opportunity to support the rescue’s efforts while potentially giving an animal a new home.
