A few scares, something sweet and a chance to support local athletics – Bodkin Park’s Haunted Trail is back for another evening of Halloween fun on Saturday, October 24.
Taking place at 8263 Bodkin Avenue in Pasadena, the event opens at 5 p.m. for small children, giving younger visitors an opportunity to enjoy the festivities before darkness settles in. Admission is $10 per person, cash only.
This year’s celebration will feature a haunted trail, moon bounces, a hayride and plenty of reasons to stick around beyond the frights. Guests can make an evening of it with a full food menu, warm up with hot chocolate or satisfy a sweet tooth with cotton candy. A beer and wine garden will also be part of the festivities.
The event benefits the Lake Shore Athletic Association, pairing Halloween entertainment with support for local athletic opportunities. Last year’s event helped support the organization’s travel teams, recreational softball and field hockey programs, along with scholarships, charitable efforts and park improvements.
Part of the attraction is the opportunity to experience something different each time. Organizer Mike Jacobs said the trail changes every year and described the gathering as a chance to reconnect with old friends and make new ones.
Whether you’re coming for the scares, bringing the kids for an early evening outing or meeting friends for food and fall festivities, Bodkin Park’s Haunted Trail offers a fun way to celebrate the season while giving back to the community.
Bring your appetite, a little Halloween courage – and cash for admission.
