My guest on this episode is Elizabeth Elliott, owner of Himmels Landscape & Garden Center.
Elizabeth is a Pasadena native, musician, and outdoor enthusiast who was originally an employee at the garden center. The job inspired her to start her own landscaping business, which she ultimately gave up to pursue a more stable career that would support her family. Years later, Elizabeth seized an opportunity to purchase the garden center and has used her corporate experience to shape and grow the culture at Himmel’s to what it is today.
In our interview Elizabeth shares her approach to finding good people and how listening to her employees has helped create a highly mission and people focused business.
