Whether you have little kids or are just a little kid at heart yourself, train gardens are a magical way to celebrate the holiday season. Not sure where to find them around town for the 2023 season? Worry not, we put together a list of a few train gardens that are sure to capture some smiles this year.
1. Train Garden at Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie
Located at the upper level of the mall, near Macy’s, this train garden has been a holiday staple at Marley Station for many years. Hosted by the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, this free-to-enter train garden features a room full of miniature scenes, and even a whole section built out of LEGO bricks. Days and hours vary, please check the Train Garden’s Facebook page for more information.
2. Severna Park Model Railroad Club
Located at 3 Riggs Avenue in Severna Park, the Severna Park Model Railroad Club is celebrating 60 years this season. Their annual Open House dates this year will be December 2nd and 3rd from 12:00pm-3:00pm.
3. Train Garden at Homestead Gardens in Severna Park & Davidsonville
Inside both of Homestead Gardens’ locations – Severna Park and Davidsonville – exists a festive train garden that delights visitors each year. Each Christmas season, new pieces are added.
Clayville Railroad Outdoor Train Garden
Real Pasadena was sad to find out that Clayville Railroad Outdoor Train Garden will not be open for this season.

The Shops at Kenilworth, Towson
It’s the most wonderful time of the year at The Shops at Kenilworth! Stop by the Food Court from Saturday, November 18-Sunday thru January 7th during all mall hours to see the annual Train Garden display! *Please note the mall will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day and with limited hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
B&O Railroad Museum, Baltimore
Part of the B&O Railroad Museum’s push for community accessibility, the museum’s Train Garden is an open storage at the entrance of the museum is a free, open-air sample of the museum’s extensive collection of over 200 pieces of rolling stock. The collection includes locomotives such as the American Freedom Train No. 1 and the B&O Speedliner, as well as a variety of railway maintenance equipment, and examples of railway traffic signals. The Train Garden is free and open to the public during regular museum hours.
