28th-Annual Event Will Honor 101-Year-Old Pasadena Resident And Basement Bar Owner Irv Koch
It’s officially Parade Weekend in Pasadena.
This Sunday, November 3, the Pasadena Business Association will host the Harvest For The Hungry Caring & Sharing Parade starting at 2:00pm. Now in its 28th year, the parade will continue its tradition of collecting food along the route to distribute to local pantries or our neighbors in need. The Grand Marshal of this year’s parade will be 101-year-old Pasadena resident and basement bar owner Irv Koch.
Featured will be local businesses, civic groups, community associations, schools, churches, bands, equestrian clubs, car clubs, youth sports groups, cheerleaders, and fire companies. Some of the businesses and organizations registered to participate in this year’s parade include The Backyard, ServPRO, Negron Agency/Farmer’s Insurance, The Dance Center of Severna Park at The Severna Park Community Center, Himmel’s Landscape and Garden Center LLC, Pasadena Building Concepts, Riviera Beach Volunteer Fire Company, Able Electrical Services, Inc, Clay Shaw – State Farm, Jubb’s Bus Service, Inc, Severna Park Elks Lodge #2482, Friends of Downs Park Inc, The Carpet and Air Duct Man, TowBoatUS Annapolis Baltimore, Gable, Baker Sisters Family Dental Care, University of Maryland Urgent Care, and Root & Stone, LLC.
The theme of the parade is to express the real spirit of the holidays, being thankful for what we have, and to share with the less fortunate in our community.
Currently, non-perishable food is being collected through this Friday, November 1 at the following locations: The Rumor Meal, The Rumor Reel, Signarama, Pasadena Floors, Orrstown Bank, M&T Bank, Clark & Anderson, VCA Calvert Veterinary Center, Baker Sisters Family Dental, Arundel Federal Savings Bank, Angel’s Food Market, Costello’s Ace Hardware, Tub O’ Suds Laundromat, and Sandy Spring Bank.
Parade Route
Start at Tick Neck Road, make a right onto Edwin Raynor Boulevard South (at the intersection of Ft. Smallwood Road), make a right onto Tick Neck Road (approximately 1, 000 feet), make a right onto Mountain Road (Rt. 177), continue on Mountain Road to right at Outing Avenue and follow to Northeast Middle School parking lot where the parade ends.

- Best Youth Group Entry
- Best Musical or Performance Entry
