While many businesses have come and gone in Pasadena over the last nearly four decades, one particular establishment continues to stand the test of time. Rumors Remix, a one-stop salon for hair, nail, and skin care services, celebrates 36 years of beautifying the Pasadena community this month, and owner Renee Livingston has no plans to slow down anytime soon.
“We take our “jobs” here to another level, by not only offering our professional services, but our friendships. We talk to one another’s’ clients, we laugh, and we help each other out. We are not afraid to ask other stylists for advice with any challenge that we face. I can learn things even from our youngest employee, who is 15 years old,” said Livingston.
Rumors Remix is located at 26 Magothy Beach Road, inside the Pasadena YMCA.

Located in Lake Shore at 4231 Postal Court, Blown 25 was voted as runner-up this year. Blown 25 delivers a premium salon experience and offers a variety of beauty services, from hair cuts and color to lash extensions and beyond.
3. The Parlor
Located at 8010 Hog Neck Road in Suite 102, The Parlor has become a familiar favorite in Pasadena.
4. Creative Roots
Creative Roots, located at 6 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena, is made up of a team of independent stylists who each specialize in various hair cut and coloring services.
5. Deborah’s Hair Design
Deborah’s Hair Design was voted fifth for their dedicated team of stylists who go above and beyond with every client they serve. “Deborah’s Hair Design is great. I am constantly getting compliments on my hair,” said client Nikki Meadows in our Facebook poll. Deborah’s Hair Design is located at 2710 Mountain Road.

Hair Rehab is a trendy salon specializing in hair, waxing and makeup, and is located at 8154 Ritchie Highway in Pasadena.
