For Zach Vito, owner and founder of ZV HVAC, the journey to starting his own business was born from a simple realization: he could do better—better service, better pricing, and better care—for the people in his own community.
“After a few years in the trade, I found myself helping friends and family a lot,” says Vito. “I saw the potential to provide better cost and better service than most companies while still earning enough to support my family.” That spark quickly evolved into ZV HVAC, a locally owned and operated company that now employs a team of four full-time professionals, serving both residential and commercial clients throughout Pasadena and beyond.

Local Roots, Professional Expertise
Vito is a Pasadena native through and through. A graduate of Chesapeake High School, he takes pride in building his business where he grew up—and now gives back to the same community that shaped him. “I love serving locals who will continue to support me,” he says.
ZV HVAC specializes in HVAC sales, service, and maintenance, offering everything from routine maintenance calls to complex system designs. One of the company’s most impressive projects involved a full-scale HVAC solution for a three-story home renovation in the historical district of Annapolis. The job included designing and installing three separate systems—all with hidden ductwork that maintained peak performance without compromising the home’s historical charm.
Service That Stands Apart
What truly sets ZV HVAC apart is its commitment to personalized service and honesty. “We provide a truly personal experience and assess every job specific to the customer’s needs,” Vito explains. That client-first approach includes free replacement estimates and second opinions for major repairs—especially when customers have questions about previous diagnostics.

“There are no silly sales tactics here,” Vito says. “We truly care about getting the customer the best product for their needs.”
Zach also takes great pride in the custom work his team does in-house. “I enjoy designing complex new HVAC systems. We manufacture all of our own ductwork, so seeing it go from flat sheets of metal to a perfectly balanced, working system in someone’s home—that’s something I’m proud of.”

Building for the Future
Like many small business owners, Vito says one of the biggest challenges has been getting the word out. But with a growing number of satisfied clients and a reputation for reliable, honest service, ZV HVAC is quickly becoming a trusted name in the area. In fact, just last month, ZV HVAC was voted Best HVAC Technician in Pasadena, Maryland in the April 2025 Best Of Pasadena Poll.
Looking ahead to 2025, Vito has his sights set on continued growth and building out his team. “We’re focused on expanding while still keeping that personal, community-based approach.”
