Both high schools host Friday night football games and Saturday dances as students show their pride and community spirit

This weekend calls for big celebrations in Pasadena – Chesapeake High School and Northeast High School will each host their homecoming events, complete with football, festivities, and dances.
The Chesapeake Cougars (4-1) will take the field at home Friday night against the Severn Run Wolves (1-4), with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. The Cougars will look to rebound after last week’s 30-3 loss to Crofton.
Across town, the Northeast Eagles (3-2) will also kick off at 6 p.m. as they host Centennial High School of Ellicott City in a non-conference matchup. With Centennial’s defense allowing an average of 42.6 points per game, the Eagles could be poised for an explosive night on offense.
Both Chesapeake and Northeast will cap off their homecoming weekends with dances on Saturday evening from 7 to 10 p.m. Downs Park has become a favorite spot for pre-dance photos, so drivers should expect heavier traffic along Mountain Road before the festivities begin.
