The sights, sounds, and smells of one of Anne Arundel County’s favorite summertime traditions return tonight as the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company’s annual Summer Carnival opens for its 10-day run.
Beginning Friday, July 10, families from Pasadena, Severna Park, Arnold, and surrounding communities are invited to enjoy an evening filled with thrilling rides, classic carnival games, delicious fair food, and plenty of family fun at the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company, located along Ritchie Highway in Severna Park. The annual event has become a summertime tradition for generations of local families while also serving an important purpose – supporting the volunteer firefighters and emergency personnel who serve the community year-round.
Presented by Jolly Shows, this year’s carnival runs through Saturday, July 18 and features a midway packed with rides for all ages, traditional carnival games, and favorites like funnel cakes, pit beef, sausage sandwiches, cotton candy, snow cones, fresh-squeezed lemonade, and other classic fair treats. Admission to the carnival grounds is free, with rides available for purchase through wristbands or individual tickets.
Visitors can purchase unlimited ride wristbands online for any one day of the carnival. Wristbands are $32 (plus a small convenience fee) when purchased online. Individual ride tickets will also be available on-site for those who prefer to pay per ride.
The carnival is open daily from 6 p.m. until closing and is closed on Sunday. Whether it’s your first visit or an annual family tradition, the Earleigh Heights Summer Carnival offers a chance to slow down, make memories, and support the volunteers who answer emergency calls throughout the year.
For many local residents, no summer feels complete without at least one trip to the carnival – whether that’s winning a stuffed animal, taking a spin on the Ferris wheel after sunset, or sharing a funnel cake with family and friends. With another week of summer fun getting underway tonight, the Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company’s Summer Carnival is once again ready to welcome the community for an unforgettable tradition.
