On the evening of Tuesday, April 28, the Pasadena Business Association (PBA) and the Lake Shore–Severna Park Rotary Club proudly hosted the inaugural Community Scholarship Awards Ceremony at Venice On The Bay Community Hall, recognizing some of the area’s most outstanding graduating high school seniors.
This year marked the first time the two organizations partnered to create a joint scholarship program for graduating seniors residing in Pasadena and Severna Park. The response from the community was tremendous, with 72 student applications submitted for consideration. In total, 19 scholarships were awarded, helping support students as they pursue higher education and trade school opportunities.
The scholarship program was created to invest in the next generation of local leaders and to recognize students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, leadership, and commitment to community service.
“Tonight was about celebrating the remarkable young people in our community who are already making an impact through their leadership, service, and determination,” said Hayley Bowerman from the Pasadena Business Association. “We are proud to support them as they take their next steps.”
