New Chick-fil-A Opening in Jacobsville Brings 120 Jobs To Pasadena, Will Offer Free Food for Guests in Cow Costumes

Pasadena is about to get a new spot for chicken sandwiches, waffle fries, and those famously friendly “my pleasure” greetings. Tomorrow – Thursday, September 4, Chick-fil-A will open its newest restaurant in Jacobsville Town Center, bringing roughly 120 jobs to Lake Shore.
The new location at 4015 Mountain Road will be operated by Annapolis native Chris Schenck, who runs Chick-fil-A restaurants in Severna Park and at Anne Arundel Community College. For Schenck, this third restaurant represents more than just growth – it’s a chance to deepen his investment in a community he’s always called home.
“This community means so much to me, and the opportunity to deepen my commitment here is truly special,” Schenck said. “Opening this restaurant unlocks incredible possibilities – creating growth opportunities for my team members, expanding our ability to serve local organizations, and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives from the moment they walk through our doors.”
To celebrate opening day, Chick-fil-A Jacobsville is inviting customers to “show their spots.” Anyone who arrives on September 4 dressed in cow-themed attire – from head-to-toe costumes to simple spotted accessories – will receive a free entrée or kid’s meal, whether they stop inside or go through the drive-thru.
Breakfast items such as the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit or Chick-n-Minis are included in the offer, as well as lunch and dinner favorites such as the Original Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, or an 8-count order of nuggets. The giveaway is limited to one per guest in costume.
Beyond fried chicken and fanfare, Schenck and Chick-fil-A are putting community support at the heart of the grand opening. As part of the celebration, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America, with funds directed to partners in the greater Baltimore area to help fight hunger.
The Jacobsville restaurant will also participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table program, which donates surplus food to local nonprofits. Schenck’s existing restaurants already redirect about 100 pounds of food each week to help those in need.
Schenck first joined Chick-fil-A as an Owner-Operator in 2013, when he opened the Severna Park location. He expanded in 2021 by opening an additional restaurant at Anne Arundel Community College. Along the way, his teams have supported local schools, health systems, and nonprofits through programs like cookie sales and the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy, which mentors young people in leadership and service.
Now, with the opening of Chick-fil-A Jacobsville, Schenck says he is looking forward to continuing that mission on an even greater scale.
Chick-fil-A Jacobsville will be open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., serving dine-in, drive-thru, carry-out, delivery, and catering customers.
